The Holiday Prize Giveaway helps promote the importance of shopping locally. We’re excited to share the incredible impact of shopping local! Last year there were approximately 14,500 completed and turned-in punch cards, each representing $100 spent locally. Over the 8 weeks from Holiday Open House to Christmas Eve, New Hampton saw an estimated $1.45 million injected directly into our local economy.

But we feel that only scratches the surface as that total does not include shoppers who chose not to participate or those who forgot to turn in their cards which means the actual total spending is likely much higher! Even more amazing is the generosity that accompanied this local spending. Thanks to the support of dozens of local sponsors, nearly $6,000 in gift certificates, prizes and bonus bucks were awarded throughout the 6 weeks of drawings. This gave back directly to the people who make our community vibrant, ensuring that the positive economic ripple effect continued long after the holiday season’s end.
